Articles win customers when they're helpful, accurate and published at a pace you can keep. Here's the rhythm we suggest.
One or two helpful articles a week is plenty for most small businesses. New or quieter sites do well with one a week. A rhythm you can keep for months beats ten posts in a week followed by silence.
Read it as your customer would. Check facts, prices and claims, add your own examples and photos, and cut anything you wouldn't say to a customer in person. Your first-hand experience is what makes an article worth reading.
Link to the new article from one or two related pages on your site and check it's in your sitemap. Then mark it as published in SEO Dispatch so we can track how it does.
New articles usually take a few weeks to settle in search results. Judge an article after a month or two, not after a few days.
Once a month, pick one older article and bring it up to date: current facts, better examples and links to your newer pages. Change the published date only when you've made real changes.
Search engines favour pages that genuinely help people. Lots of thin or near-identical articles can hold your whole site back, so publish fewer, better articles.
